Pictures of the Preschool

When the children first arrive at school they get out their homework folders, and hang up their school bags and coats.

There is a drinking fountain and a sink inside the preschool. The bathroom is located inside the preschool. It is easily accessed by the children and supervised by the teacher during class time.

This is the play area used by the chrildren during free time and also during center time. There are several stations set up: sensory table, listening area, dramatic play, art table, etc.

This is where we sit for circle time. We do the pledge of allegiance, the calendar, learn our new concepts, and review what we've already learned. We also have music time and story time here. We use the four tables for snack time and center time. The preschool classes are set up so that the children work in small groups and they rotate around to different centers. There are usually 1-2 extra adults in the class to help during center time. This enables the children to have more individualized attention and also a lot more hands on activities in math, phonics, science, and art.
